quotes about sadness
by Admin on Jun 21th, 2010

Hi
I'm sorry to hear you are feeling so bad at the moment... I have suffered terribly with anxiety, negative, invasive thoughts, fears and panic attacks. I'm actually doing quite well at the moment after a solid two years of practically living 'out of this world' in 'fear land'.
My original and best saviour is the book 'Dancing with Fear' by Dr Paul Foxman. He is a psychologist and the book is based on CBT principles (cognitive behaviour therapy). You do have to put the techniques into action but doing so really saved my life (and really wasn't that hard - one step at a time). I LOVE this book. I like to avoid medications too and CBT is actually proven to change neural circuits in a similar/the same way as drugs - without the drugs!
It talks about ways of noticing how you think and changing your thinking habits etc as well as lots and lots of other things. I don't know if this is what you were after but I found it easy to read and a very helpful and very useful book for anyone with anxiety and other mental issues.
I bought it at fishpond.com.au and had no probs there either.
Hope you get things sorted soon.
I’d like to share some inspirational thoughts to help you deal with whatever pain your are currently feeling. As you know, pain comes in many forms: physical, emotional, psychological, mental…. you name it. If it causes you to hurt in any way, for any reason, then you know pain.
I used to wonder why we had to experience such hurtful events in life and I know that sometimes it can feel like you are getting a raw deal. However, I’ve learned some very important truths that I want to share with you.
Pain and Hardship serve as our Wake Up Call to Take a Closer Look At Our Lives
As I’m sure you know, everybody experiences pain and hardship. It doesn’t play favorites or it doesn’t care how much money you have. Everybody is dealing with something! As it stands, pain is what jump-starts our individual growth.
If you’re anything like me, you probably are quick to think, “I don’t want to grow. Just let me go through life with as little hassle and issues as possible.” Me too! However, life doesn’t work this way.
Unfortunately, we have a tendency to cling to our comfort zones. I know I’ve personally experienced my best growth periods right after some unwanted experienced occurred. Believe me, I’ve experienced a lot -
broken relationships, serious health issues, work problems, failure, dealing with death, betrayal, you name it.
However, on the other side of pain, I’ve also experienced some of the best times of my life: increased wisdom, newly found patience, better relationships, better jobs, cherished memories, and the knowledge that I continue to make it.
All of these things apply to you as well. Do you know what I want you to do? I don’t want you to cripple under your pain and hardships; instead, embrace them. It sounds crazy, but taking this approach helps you not to succumb and fall victim to your emotions. If you learn to understand that these times are a part of life then you learn to understand the following:
1. Life is a cycle of seasons – the down times will pass. Knowing it’s not permanent gives you hope and inspiration.
2. If pain and hardship are a part of life then you are not alone. You know that someone somewhere has experienced what you are going through
and has made it through….now it’s your turn.
3. Pain and hardships often serve as warning signs that can get worse if ignored. So listen to the warnings. If you experience
health problems get help. If you know that we all die; take the time to cherish and spend time with your loved ones. It’s all meant
to heighten your awareness to take action. Truthfully, these are usually the only times that most of us do take notice and action.
Following are some inspirational thoughts via quotes about pain and hardship that I want you to reference during those hard times:
- There is no coming to consciousness without pain. ~ Carl Jung
- There is no gains without pain. ~ Benjamin Franklin
- Sadness flies on the wings of the morning and out of the heart of darkness comes the light. ~ Jean Giraudoux
- If you don’t know about pain and trouble, you’re in sad shape. They make you appreciate life. ~ Evel Knievel
Please never forget, tomorrow is another day. Search for the strength and courage to keep going and you’ll find it.
